Municipality can't do anything: Thanks to privilege, farmer is allowed to build a giant barn at the entrance to the village

2023-06-09T03:21:45.871Z

Highlights: All existing buildings at Hochbichlfeld 1 have now been approved. The so-called "feel-good stable" for 400 cattle may also be built. Councillors did not want to have such a "huge bar" at the northern entrance to Bichl. The barn has been approved to the desired size and the farmer can now start construction. In agreement with the district fire council, the farmer now agreed to maintain an abandoned slurry pit with 150 cubic meters of extinguishing water.

The black buildings will be legalized retrospectively and a huge feel-good stable for 400 cattle may also be built.

Bichl – After farmer Andreas Mair clarified the extinguishing water problem with the district fire council, the committee unanimously approved the two motions on the table. These included the bull barn measuring 11.15 by 3.41 metres and the equipment shelter measuring 22.50 by 4.11 metres. Both buildings have been standing for years, as well as a wooden hut (12.30 by 3.55 meters) and a feed store (11.93 by 6.50 meters). Presumably as a result of a complaint, these "black buildings", as Hubert Waldherr bluntly called them, had been found during a building inspection. Mayor Benedikt Pössenbacher, on the other hand, spoke of a "subsequent legalization". This has now also been completed.

Buildings are agriculturally privileged: farmer is allowed to set up mega-barn at the entrance to the village

Since the buildings are agriculturally privileged, it was clear to the councils from the outset that they would not get away with their negative attitude. That's why they had recently thrown themselves into fire protection. In agreement with the district fire council, the farmer now agreed to maintain an abandoned slurry pit with 150 cubic meters of extinguishing water.

As reported, the trigger for the overall discord was the farmer's building application for a so-called feel-good barn for around 400 cattle. The councillors did not want to have such a "huge bar" at the northern entrance to Bichl. But as a result of the agricultural privileges, they had no chance here either. As things stand, the barn has been approved to the desired size and the farmer can now start construction.
