Pedelec rider fatally injured in Upper Bavaria
The accident occurred around 20 p.m. in the municipal area of Saaldorf-Surhim on the BGL2 district road (Berchtesgadener Land district). A 43-year-old had turned left into the higher-level district road BGL2 with his pedelec coming from Kleingerstetten. He overlooked a car whose driver (64) was traveling on the privileged district road, coming from the left.
The motorist was no longer able to prevent the collision. The 43-year-old was so badly injured in the accident that he died at the scene of the accident. The 64-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.
