Provocation on the northern border: Lebanese soldiers were filmed on Friday pointing weapons at Israel. Footage from the scene showed the soldiers carrying machine guns, and in another footage, one of them even carried an RPG and aimed at the army. It is unclear whether these are loaded weapons, and in light of the extensive coverage in the Arab media, it seems that this is mainly an act of psychological warfare.

The incident takes place in the Har Dov area, where Lebanon claims territory liberated by Israel that was held by Syria before the Six-Day War. In recent weeks, senior Hezbollah figures have expressed their desire to return the territories to Lebanon.
According to a report on the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen network, which is close to Hezbollah, the Lebanese army and UNIFIL forces have gathered some of their men at the border. It was also reported that the incident was preceded by clashes between Lebanese residents of the area and IDF forces, including stone throwing on one side and the use of teargas canisters on the other. The residents removed a barbed wire fence that the IDF had erected there in recent days.
