Following the attack on the Egyptian border: Arab media reported today (Friday) that an Egyptian security delegation visited Tel Aviv.
Egyptian sources revealed that the delegation arrived in Tel Aviv following the attack in which three Faran Brigade fighters fell a week ago. According to the report, the delegation was intended to "put out the fires" and deal with issues of mediation between Israel and the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.
According to the sources, the delegation included the person in charge of the Israeli file in Egyptian intelligence, who visited the Palestinians and delivered a special message on behalf of intelligence chief Abbas Kamel.

The report of the visit comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi earlier this week. At the end of the conversation, a press release was issued in which the two leaders stressed the importance of coordination between the sides, and Sisi sent condolences to the families of the dead soldiers.
One of the sources told Al-Arabi Al-Jadid that the delegation conveyed a message to Israel that Cairo is dissatisfied with the media discourse in Tel Aviv, which insults the Egyptian military establishment following the incident, especially in light of the great cooperation between the sides.
According to the source, one message conveyed by the delegation concerned Cairo's turning a blind eye to several violations by the Israeli side of border security rules, which did not receive media coverage. He added that the visit was not limited to discussing the consequences of the attack on the border, but also dealt with issues such as mediation with the Palestinian terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip. This was against the background of the recent visit of Hamas and Islamic Jihad delegations to Cairo.
