Less than a month after being discharged from hospital, where he spent six weeks with a leukemia-related lung infection, Silvio Berlusconi is hospitalized again. According to several Italian media and the Reuters news agency, the 86-year-old former prime minister returned to the San Raffaele hospital in Milan on Friday. His eldest daughter, Marina, and his partner, Marta Fascina, were spotted there in the afternoon, says ANSA.
The head of Forza Italia should at least spend the night there. He is hospitalized for "scheduled medical checks" following his illness, his doctors said in a note seen by Rai News. They were nevertheless "advanced" because some analyses showed "abnormal peaks", they write, while ensuring that there is "nothing alarming".
"Force Silvio!"
On social media, his coalition ally and leader of the League's anti-immigration party, Matteo Salvini, posted a photo of himself, accompanied by the message "Force Silvio!"
