Again and again there are cases of missing persons. One of the most famous in recent years is the still unsolved case of the British girl Maddie McCann. But even in Germany, many children and adolescents disappear without a trace every year. According to the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), an estimated 2022,76 young people were reported missing in the course of 700.

Often the minors reappear after a few days. Rebecca Reusch, on the other hand, is still missing: the then 15-year-old disappeared in 2019 after spending the night at her sister and brother-in-law's house. (rku)
