Finally, the conference took place. CNRS anthropologist Florence Bergeaud-Blackler spoke at the Sorbonne last week, under close surveillance, to discuss the Muslim Brotherhood's strategy of entryism. And it was not won: the officials of the Parisian university had initially been more than cautious, even postponing the demonstration in order "not to throw oil on the fire". It took the protest of intellectuals and elected officials, and especially the courageous pugnacity of Florence Bergeaud-Blackler, for the meeting to take place.
So goes the debate in today's France. Not impossible, certainly, but often difficult to implement serenely, so offensive are the opponents of pluralism who skillfully adorn themselves with the best intentions in the world: in the name of respect for minorities, the fight against discrimination, sustainable development or animal welfare, some subjects no longer have access to public space, certain causes are struck ...
