Lisandro Magallán is remembered in Boca for his time in a time of bittersweet flavors for the club. On the one hand, titles at the local level and good performances in the international arena; on the other, tough defeats against the rival of a lifetime. So he ended up going abroad, at 25 years of age, sold to Ajax for 6 million dollars.
But when it comes to flavors, Magallán's history on a personal level has a separate chapter and alien to football in La Plata, his homeland. There, his father (now deceased) founded and gave life to "La casa de Maga", a bakery that made its name in the city of diagonals for two fundamental qualities: rich and cheap invoices.

The Magallán family maintained the legacy of the creator of the brand and today the croissants of "La casa de Maga" are obtained not only in La Plata but also in different branches scattered throughout places such as Devoto, Villa Real, Caballito and San Isidro, among other neighborhoods.
This Friday, a note from Clarín Gourmet highlighted La casa de Maga as "the best among those sold by the most popular chains." Something like defining which are the richest and cheapest in Buenos Aires. It was the prestigious chef and pastry chef Pedro Lambertini who took charge of the tasting, which had four other contenders among the candidates.

Installed in Europe for almost five years, with a career that includes clubs such as Alavés, Crotone of Italy, Anderlecht of Belgium and Elche of Spain, Magallán posted on his social networks the mention that his bakery received with much emotion.
It is a reward for the effort and dedication of his entire family, who decided to continue with the legacy of his father at a delicate time such as the death of the creator of the brand, in January 2018 and with 62 years of age.
"The happiness we have in 'La Casa de Maga' for this recognition does not enter our body. So many people, families working with a lot of effort and dedication to offer the best quality in our products and attention to the public, "began writing Lisandro on his Instagram account, where he has 231 thousand followers.

And then he added: "It is a pride and peace to maintain the memory of 'Maga', my old man, the father of this great family with these achievements. It may be too much or it may not be much, but for those of us who follow the dream my dad once had, it fills us with pleasure to know that effort, patience and perseverance have their reward."
From Europe, about to turn 30, continuing with his career dedicated to football and knowing the most picturesque corners of the Old Continent, the former Boca Magallán allowed himself a moment of nostalgia to speak with pride of the old man's bakery.
