(ANSA) - SPOLETO (PERUGIA), JUNE 09 - The appeal of the mayor of Norcia Nicola Alemanno for the cancellation of the suspension from office, taken by virtue of the Severino law and ordered following the sentence to one year and 10 months for forgery, in the investigation on the construction of the temporary headquarters of the pro loco was presented on Friday morning at the court of Spoleto.
"We have filed the urgent appeal in court under the legislation on electoral procedures," Alemanno's lawyer, Massimo Marcucci, explained to ANSA. "We have asked, precisely - he added -, an urgent measure in order to suspend the decree of suspension of the prefect, because in our opinion there are elements that allow us to positively evaluate the indications contained in the appeal". On which a panel of judges will have to decide, with the lawyer Marcucci expressing the "hope that it can take place in a compatible short time".
If the application of Severino was triggered following the conviction for the trial for the headquarters of the pro loco, on Thursday the mayor Alemanno was instead acquitted, by the same court of Spoleto, in another similar trial, the one that saw him accused, always on charges of forgery, for the construction of the PalaBoeri.
