Thomas JOLLY. - It's funny because, each time, opera has given me priority over theatre. Romeo and Juliet is one of the plays I wanted to put on in the theatre before I died. Like Macbeth. But opera always goes faster than me. First there was the proposal of the Opéra Comique and the Théâtre de la Monnaie to stage the world premiere of Macbeth Underworld, by Pascal Dusapin. And now this Romeo and Juliet by Gounod for the Paris Opera!
