Trigema boss Wolfgang Grupp rarely holds back his opinion. Now he railed against the "last generation". He drew a scenario – with imitators.
Burladingen – The "Last Generation" is causing resentment and reluctance throughout Germany with its sticking campaigns. Trigema boss Wolfgang Grupp, who is committed to sustainability and environmental awareness with the company itself, also shows little understanding for the climate adhesives. Sentences like "You can't allow..." and "radical" were mentioned in an interview with the newspaper Welt – but the criticism was not only directed against the people on the street.
Trigema boss Wolfganz Grupp without understanding for climate glue – "We can't allow..."
"It can't be that radical," Grupp made clear in an interview with Die Welt in reference to the adhesive actions of the "Last Generation". He said he understood protests as long as they were "reasonable". The blockades of the "Last Generation" are rightly classified as criminal offenses, Grupp said. "We can't allow anyone in a state governed by the rule of law to think they can smash up anything they don't like," he said. bw24 also reported on it.

At the same time, he concedes: Of course, they are right "that we have certainly tackled climate change too late." Germany, Europe and the world have reacted with a long delay to climate changes. "We have to make up for the failures of recent years," Grupp said. Wolfgang Grupp has been the owner and managing director of the clothing brand Trigema for over 50 years. The company advertises production in Germany and, increasingly, adaptations for climate protection such as environmentally friendly bleaching processes, company-owned power plants and closed cycles without waste.

Trigema boss rails against climate glue: Great rejection of adhesive actions in the population
Grupp is not alone in his view that the climate adhesives are too radical. In a recent survey, three-quarters of respondents said they rejected the methods of the "last generation", which increasingly wants to turn against the "rich".

At the same time, it is not the first time that Grupp has spoken out clearly on a topic. The Trigema boss is known for his provocative and distinctive sayings, be it towards politicians, citizens or other countries. For example, his sentence "Twitter is just stupid to me, and the people who use it are idiots" should be remembered. Likewise, Wolfgang Grupp did not hide his opinion on the Ukraine war. (chd)
