Former President Donald Trump said Thursday afternoon on his social network, Truth Social, that he has been formally charged in the special investigation into his handling of classified government documents after leaving the White House.
"The corrupt Administration (of President Joe) Biden informed my lawyers that I was indicted apparently for the Farce of the Boxes," Trump wrote, referring to the dozens of boxes found by the authorities after a search of his mansion in Mar-a-Lago (Florida), which contained classified and ultra-secret documents that the former president took after leaving the White House.
The Prosecutor's Office has not yet ruled on the alleged accusation. Trump did not clarify what charges he is being charged.
