These figures are still provisional - the final figures will be released in the autumn - but confirm a significant increase in enrolment, which has made it possible to recover almost all of last year's decline, and which give hope for renewed interest in university studies.

In 2021-2022, 143,164 and 179,501 students enrolled in the first year were enrolled in the first year, respectively.
The share of students enrolled in the Stem area (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) remains constant on the total number of students: about 30 percent of new enrolments.
New students are also constant for the economic, legal and social area (35%) and for the health and agro-veterinary area (17%).
Confirmed for this academic year the options for the artistic and literary area (18%). (ANSA).
