If the big holidays are fast approaching, the SNCF wants to give a boost to its travelers to book their train tickets. On Monday, the railway company will launch a contest on its social networks to try to win several advantages, according to information from Le Parisien. All passengers will have the opportunity to win 10,000 vouchers of 10 euros for Ouigo trains, valid for one year. "With this offer, three out of four tickets will be less than 40 euros!" says Christophe Fanichet, CEO of SNCF Voyageurs.

For French people under 28, they can also try their luck to win one of the 10,000 Youth Advantage cards at one euro, instead of 49 euros in normal times. "We want to specifically target the young population," explains Christophe Fanichet, "They have a more constrained budget and are also more attentive to the carbon footprint of their travel. Finally, they are ambassadors to adults."

This Youth Advantage card allows you to benefit from a 30% discount on TGV and Intercités trains for the beneficiary and a second adult. This reduction even climbs up to 60% for three accompanying children. Finally, prices are capped according to travel distances, at 39, 59 or 79 euros. Some regions have already planned to make gestures towards young people, such as Occitanie, which offers one-euro tickets for those under 25, or Pays de la Loire, which offers a "pass" at 25 euros to travel unlimited in July and August.

Two weeks ago, the SNCF had already launched another operation: 10,000 Ouigo Train Classique tickets at one euro. They were sold out in just a few minutes, forcing the railway company to put on sale an additional 10,000 tickets to satisfy demand.
