A 28-year-old man was shot dead Saturday evening in a serious incident of violence in Qalansawe. MDA medics and paramedics who arrived at the scene gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba while performing CPR.

Taybeh police opened an investigation a short time ago, upon receiving a report about the shooting incident in Qalansawa, during which Watek Hakim was shot. According to medical sources, he was critically injured and evacuated to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba, where he was pronounced dead. "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a 20-year-old man unconscious with no pulse and no breathing with very severe penetrating injuries to his body," said paramedic Giris Elias Sapir. "We immediately began giving him medical treatment that included massages, breathing, stopping the bleeding and put him in the intensive care unit and quickly evacuated him to hospital while continuing CPR while his condition was defined as critical."

Following the incident, Avraham's initiative stated: "101 Arabs lost their lives in 2023 in circumstances related to violence and crime, of whom 94 were civilians, and seven were non-citizens. In the same period last year, there were 35 victims."
