2,200 stands, 50,000 visitors, two months of preparation... This Sunday, Issy-les-Moulineaux is transformed into a huge festive flea market, the largest in Ile-de-France according to the organizers. For this 40th edition of the Printemps d'Issy, most of the city will host exhibitors and various workshops. Depending on the city
To accommodate such a crowd, two months of preparation are necessary. Since last year, the city has set up a dematerialized system for booking pitches considerably simplifying the procedure and the life of exhibitors. "Previously, those who wanted to register had to take half a day off," says Claire Szabo, deputy mayor in charge of events and protocol.

"No more stands were available after 30 minutes"
Unsurprisingly, the support of exhibitors, professional or amateur, for the new system was total. "No more stands were available after 30 minutes. Last year, there were so many registrations that the platform jumped, "says the elected official.
For the city, if the success of the flea market is not denied it is because of "the way of conceiving the garage sale. It's not just in one part of the city, and it's not just a flea market. Many festive activities are added. This year, for example, there will be a sustainable development village, a bicycle repair shop, marching bands, etc.
On the 4,400 meters of shelves on which the stands are installed, "there is everything. It's a real garage sale," notes Claire Szabo. Clearly, everyone can find happiness. All the streets concerned (a good part of the city), are pedestrianized until 18 p.m.
