The system of engaged classes, tested and implemented in Seine-et-Marne since the start of the 2022 school year, has already conquered 35 classes of the first and

It is an experimental device that is well on its way to lasting. Since the start of the 2022 school year, the Créteil academy has introduced the principle of engaged classes in Seine-et-Marne. "The objective is to promote educational projects in several themes: health, solidarity, culture, memory, citizenship, education, defense, security, sport and the environment, explains the cabinet of the Directorate of Departmental Services of National Education (DSDEN) of 77. For the moment, we have 35 active classes but we will be at 54 at the beginning of the 2023 school year. »

On Friday, an agreement between the academy of Créteil, the city of Moissy-Cramayel and the elementary school Fosse Cornue must be signed. The pedagogical project will bring together students of various levels. "The city is thus committed to welcoming students to the town hall to explain the workings of democracy and to integrate them into the context of commemoration ceremonies," says the town hall. The Moisséenne school will work, from next September until 2026, around themes related to the public interest, altruism or living together. »

The system mainly concerns colleges

Moissy-Cramayel will be one of the first two cities to have an engaged class in elementary with Chaintreaux, who will work on the theme of memory. "In majority, it is colleges that are concerned, as well as a dozen high schools," says the academy inspectorate. And to cite some examples such as this class of all levels of the Becquerel high school in Nangis which works on safety with the firefighters of Seine-et-Marne or that of the Rostang college in Bray-sur-Seine in connection with health.

Other institutions already participating in the experiment include the École nationale supérieure de police (ENSP) in Cannes-Ecluse. Work has been carried out since the beginning of September with a third grade class from Elsa-Triolet College in Varennes-sur-Seine. The students of this first promotion, named according to their wish "Charles de Gaulle", were able to discover throughout the year the professions of the national police.

A policeman first went to the college, then they had the chance to discover the secrets of the Technical and Scientific Police, thanks to an immersion visit to the ENSP. The students were also able to attend last February the ceremony of the 27th promotion of officers, in the presence of the Minister of the Interior and enjoy a guided tour of the premises at the end of March.

And if you also want to put yourself in the shoes of a police officer, know that the school opens its doors to the public this Saturday. Demining, equestrianand canine brigade, drones, scientific and technical police, arrest and handcuffing techniques, etc., meet between 10 am and 18 pm at 49, rue Chaud in Cannes-Écluse.
