On 26 September 2022, at a depth of 80 metres in the Baltic Sea, the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines exploded simultaneously. What would quickly turn out to be sabotage cut off any possibility for the Russian state-owned company Gazprom to supply Germany with natural gas via these two pipelines. In the eight months that followed, all sorts of hypotheses circulated about who was responsible for this attack. A Russian runway has been mentioned, based on the presence in the area of surface ships and submarines. For his part, the American journalist Seymour Hersh saw the hand of the US Navy. Yet last week, investigations by a pool of German, Danish and Swedish newsrooms pointed to another suspect: Ukraine. And their revelations are based on facts and evidence gathered by investigators, including those of the Federal Criminal Office (BKA), the elite of the German police.
