Jordanian MP Khalil Attiyah asked the Arab parliament in Cairo on Saturday to read Surah al-Fateh from the Quran in honor of Egyptian terrorist Mohamed Salah, who killed three IDF soldiers on the Sinai border a week ago.

"We salute Egypt, and its martyr Mohammed Salah. I ask the honorable council to stand up for the fatha for the souls of the martyrs of the Arab and Islamic nation, who died a martyr's death for Palestine, and especially in memory of the heroic martyr Muhammad Saleh," he said.

Following his remarks, members of the Arab parliament stood up and chanted the sura in memory of the terrorist. Attia is known as a member of parliament hostile to Israel and has spoken out strongly against it. The Arab Parliament is a representative body of the Arab League.
