And even less the police district of Noisiel, particularly affected by burglaries as shown by the figures of the Ministry of the Interior on the evolution of delinquency between 2019 and 2022. The city of Pontault-Combault is one of the preferred targets with 180 burglaries recorded in 2022. Last Sunday, the statistics soared again when two Stakhanovists decided to crack down on the area.
It all starts around 7:30 in the morning. A resident of Rue Chevreul notices that two men are trying to return home by forcing the door of the garden. She immediately warns the police while the duo takes the powder of escampette, abandoning on the spot pincers. A crew arrives and goes looking for them, with the report of the two individuals. Suddenly, another call for police help arrives: not far away, two people have raged rue de la Ferme.
Eight misdeeds in the space of two hours
The patrol approaches and meets a motorist who reports that burglars have tried to enter a pavilion on rue de Beaubourg. Barely time to spin that a new call to the 17 tells them that the duo has recidivated on the side of the rue des Bois de Combault. Suddenly, shortly before 9:30 a.m. while driving in Avenue Charles Allain, they spot a man matching the report of thugs leaving a pavilion. The latter tries to discreetly dispose of bank cards and identity cards by throwing them under a car.
Failure. He was arrested. The occupant of the premises tells the police that she saw him searching his house. Suspecting that his accomplice should not be far away, a second crew has the idea of going urgently to the Pontault-Combault station. Good pick. On the platform, the police arrested a man who was waiting for the train to Paris. The duo was then taken into custody at the police station. A satchel is found with various objects, including bracelets, watches and other medals. Although both deny it, the investigators accuse them of no less than eight misdeeds in the space of two hours!
In the end, they were the subject, Tuesday, of an immediate appearance at the criminal court of Melun. The man arrested at the exit of the pavilion, a 33-year-old homeless, was sentenced to 12 months in prison and was taken into custody at the end of the hearing. The second, aged 22 and also homeless, was given a 10-month suspended sentence. Both were also notified of a three-year ban on their stay in Seine-et-Marne.
