A 25-year-old man from the Bedouin diaspora was killed Saturday night in a violent brawl that broke out between him and foreign nationals near the southern city of Ofakim. An MDA team that arrived at the scene found him with no signs of life and pronounced him dead.
Police officers who arrived at the scene began investigating the circumstances of the incident and began searching for the suspects.
An MDA medic who arrived at the scene, Guy Almakais, said: "We arrived at the scene and found a 25-year-old man unconscious and with severe injuries to his body. We carried out medical tests, but he was without signs of life and at the end we had to pronounce him dead."

Last night, Sarit Ahmad, an 18-year-old resident of Kisra village, was shot dead at the Kishor junction in the Western Galilee. An MDA team called to the scene performed CPR on her, and at the same time evacuated her to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya - but there the doctors were forced to pronounce her dead. A preliminary examination revealed that Ahmad was sitting in her car at the intersection when she was shot in the upper body. Police said they had opened an investigation into the incident and said officers from the area had begun searching for the perpetrator of the shooting, who has not yet been identified.
These events come against the backdrop of a general strike held today by the High Follow-Up Committee of Israeli Arabs in Arab Society, in which a protest march was held in Lod, in which hundreds of the city's Arab residents took part.
The protests erupted in response to a rise in crime in Arab society and the shooting incident in the village of Yafia on Thursday, in which five young men were killed and two others were moderately wounded. The shooting occurred near a car wash business, and a vehicle caught fire nearby. Five of the wounded were critically wounded and evacuated to the English Hospital in Nazareth, where they were pronounced dead. Among the five murdered are Marjieh, the owner of the car wash business where the shooting took place, Rami Marjieh, Naim's cousin, Louis Abu Rajab, Mohammed Kanana and Ibrahim Shehadeh.
