Highlights: TSV Weilheim has a full board of directors again after its annual general meeting. The number of members in the 22 departments rose to a record 4517. The floor in the Hall of Mirrors had to be renewed due to water damage caused by construction defects. The TSV trainers also provided a record-breaking 20,000 hours of supervised sport. There is still a lot of money in reserves, as Heinz Peuker explained afterwards in his cash report. In 2022, revenues amounted to 691,000 euros compared to expenses of 731,000 euro.

With 4517 members, TSV Weilheim has set a new record. This was reported by chairman Dieter Pausch. He doesn't want to leave "the ship" yet.

Weilheim – A construction site has been resolved: TSV Weilheim has a full board of directors again after its annual general meeting in the Hall of Mirrors of the sports centre. But it is precisely this hall that will soon be a construction site itself. TSV chairman Dieter Pausch, who was confirmed in office, conveyed the unpleasant news to the delegates that the floor in the Hall of Mirrors had to be renewed due to water damage caused by construction defects.

But before that, the TSV boss had also brought the members a lot of good news. "Last year was the most successful at TSV so far," said Pausch. At the end of the anniversary year – the TSV celebrated its 2022th birthday in 175 – the number of members in the 22 departments rose to a record 4517. "And all departments are led by complete department heads," Pausch praised the commitment of around 130 volunteers. "You are the spearhead of the club." The TSV trainers also provided a record-breaking 20,000 hours of supervised sport.

TSV Weilheim: Club magazine now digital

A lot had to be done in the anniversary year, Pausch looked back on the eventful year. He was positive about the introduction of a digital edition of the club's magazine, the "Sportreport". 5600 clicks prove: "It is also looked at." At the same time, Pausch acknowledged that there was a bit of a crunch due to numerous personnel changes in the office. "But we are on the right track," said the TSV president, before the outgoing real estate consultant Alfred Falk explained the construction sites.

The gravelled parking lot at the sports center had numerous potholes and therefore had to be renovated. "If that doesn't help, we will probably lay grass pavers, which will cost about 35,000 euros," Falk explained. Dents were found in the floor of the Hall of Mirrors, after which the subsoil was examined. "There was water up to 4 centimeters high," Falk explained. This means that the soil must be removed and dried, and then rebuilt. The cost of this is between 60,000 and 100,000 euros. "The question now is whether the insurance company will pay for the damage."

Contribution increases are possible in 2024

There is still a lot of money in reserves, as Heinz Peuker explained afterwards in his cash report. In 2022, revenues amounted to 691,000 euros compared to expenses of 731,000 euros. "Without loan repayment, we would have a plus of 20,000 euros," Peuker explained. "Because of the investments, we are now going to our reserves with about 100,000 euros and next year there could be an increase in contributions," announced Pausch, who is very worried about the development in the city with a lot of influx, but still a blatant lack of sports halls.

"That's why I can't leave the ship," said the TSV president about the elections, which were conducted by the third mayor Alfred Honisch together with the sports officer Tilman Wahlefeld. "The city expressly appreciates having such an active association," praised Honisch, before the numerous new candidates for the board briefly introduced themselves. The 68 voting delegates then unanimously expressed their confidence in the election proposals. The TSV management team thus continues to consist of Pausch, who made himself available for the last time, Peuker (treasurer), Walter Kurzrock (assessor external properties) and the two youth leaders Max Braune and Dominik Juckel. Erhard Fernholz (2nd Chairman), Björn Bartnik (3rd Chairman), Yvonne Laschewski (Secretary), Matthias Demmel (Assessor Internal Real Estate), Matthias Wegmann (Assessor IT) and Bela Rieger (Assessor Sports Groups) were newly elected to the committee.

"In the new Executive Board, we want to create clear areas of responsibility. There will no longer be a 'one-man show'," said Pausch, who had previously bid farewell to the outgoing board members with gifts and honored long-standing members. Outstanding among the latter were Hans Vogl and Franz Schelle, both of whom have been loyal to TSV for 60 years.
