Police forces are at the scene of the accident and the Jerusalem District's road accident examiners have begun investigating its circumstances. Following the accident, two lanes of travel were blocked, and drivers are asked to drive cautiously and obey the instructions of the police officers at the scene.
MDA emergency medic Roi Ben Shoham said that when they were called to the scene, they saw a vehicle completely squashed - with the young woman sitting inside, unconscious. "She was breathless and without a pulse with severe multi-system trauma, we performed medical tests and within a short time we had to pronounce her dead," he said.
