This is undoubtedly one of the clichés of the year. While a thunderstorm hit the capital on the night of Saturday to Sunday, lightning struck the Iron Lady around 3:30 am this Sunday.
The photographer Bertrand Kulik managed to immortalize this impressive impact from the fifteenth arrondissement of the capital to offer us magnificent shots, which he shared on social networks this Sunday.
3:30 this morning. Nice love at first sight on the Eiffel Tower. Photos taken with my 2 cameras since the 15th.#meteovilles #keraunos #weather #toureiffel #mairiedeparis #villedeparis #love #LightningStrikes #weatherchannel #orage pic.twitter.com/UedBC9jAWG

This photographer accustomed to making this type of photos told the Parisian to have a collection of many lightning impacts on the Eiffel Tower. "Last night I monitored the radar charts to be well prepared. I almost had a sleepless night," he told us. To make these two shots, Bertrand Kulik used two cameras with different optics in order to have a wide shot and a closer shot.
This is not the first time a lightning bolt has hit the Eiffel Tower. Last year, also in June, several amateur photographers posted images of the top of the Iron Lady struck by lightning on social networks.
