Like a movie script, the crossover between Argentina and Bangladesh that exploded during the World Cup in Qatar had a new and special chapter this Sunday. It could be the longest debut in the world, in a play on words with that story immortalized by Osvaldo Soriano and that had, paradoxically, also Río Negro as a framework. Because the city of Viedma saw the dream premiere of Jamal Bhuyan, the captain of the Bangladesh National Team: he used the Sol de Mayo ribbon, scored a goal and celebrated it with the community of his country residing in Argentina, who traveled especially to follow him closely.
And why the longest debut in the world? Because Bhuyan had been announced last February as reinforcement of the southern team, but complications in the paperwork delayed his arrival to make a few weeks. Then they said that he only came on vacation and was not going to play football, but last Tuesday he landed in Viedma, was officially presented and, five days later, he put on the green and red shirt specially designed for this moment by the club that has the albiceleste as an emblem color to face Germinal de Rawson, by the date 27 of the zone A of the Federal A, the third category of Argentine football.
