Drivers are reacting more and more angrily to blockades of the "last generation". In Dresden, an SUV driver raced directly towards the protesters. His reasoning was astounding.
Dresden – Again and again, activists of the "Last Generation" block roads throughout Germany. They stick to highway entrances and city streets. For a long time now, the blocked motorists have not been reacting in a relaxed manner. This is also the case for a motorist in Dresden. He raced straight towards the people who were about to sit down on the street.

Motorist heads for climate activists: "I was clearly green"
As videos of the incident show, the activists took to the streets at a green pedestrian light. They were just about to put on their high-visibility vests when the signal changed. The traffic light of the motorists jumped to green and the SUV driver promptly pressed the gas. Wearing a high-visibility vest half over their shoulders, a few of the activists jumped to the side, others got down on their knees and stopped the car with their hands. The black car came to a stop just before the people.
The driver of the SUV with trailer apparently saw himself clearly in the right. "I definitely had green," he can be heard saying in the video. It is not known whether anyone was injured in the incident. It is also not possible to say conclusively when the incident occurred.
Motorist is heading for climate activists: police are investigating both sides
When asked by RTL, the Dresden police announced that there had been an operation. Both parties are probably being investigated. Karsten Jäger, press spokesman for the Dresden police department, said: "We are investigating on suspicion of violating the Assembly Act and attempted dangerous bodily harm."
In the course of the upcoming IAA motor show in Munich, the "Last Generation" is currently focusing on the Bavarian capital. On Friday, 1.9., the group blocked streets in the city center. And here, too, the increasing anger of motorists became apparent. Videos circulated on X (previously Twitter) of a man forcibly dragging an activist off the street and another blowing cigarette smoke in the face of protesters. In an interview with IPPEN, Bavaria's Minister of Justice demanded. MEDIA "of course imprisonment" for "repeat offenders" of the "last generation". (chd).
