A group of young men allegedly harassed and abused a 13-year-old girl in a swimming pool in Cologne. The police are looking for witnesses.
Cologne – Worse emergency call from the swimming pool in downtown Cologne: A girl was allegedly abused in the outdoor pool by a group of eight young men. The whole thing is said to have taken place on Sunday (September 17) in the Agrippabad, 24rhein.de also reported.

The girl had been able to free herself and inform the lifeguard, who then alerted the police, informs the presidium of Cologne. The police responded with a large contingent: Seven patrol crews put the suspects at the exit and were able to identify a witness who had observed the incident.
The group consisted of three 16-year-olds, three 21-year-olds, and one 22- and 26-year-olds each. Four of them have Syrian, three Turkish and one Iraqi nationality. They all come from Cologne and the surrounding area.
Around 18:20 p.m., the young men are said to have surrounded, harassed and threw up the girl in the outdoor pool. When she went into hiding, a 16-year-old Iraqi grabbed her bikini bottoms, according to the accusation.

Now the police are investigating what exactly happened in the Agrippabad. For this purpose, the Cologne Inspectorate is calling for witnesses: bathers who have observed the crime should report to the Criminal Investigation Department 12 on 0221 229 - 0 or by e-mail to poststelle.koeln@polizei.nrw.de.
Criminal offences often occur in swimming pools, at one time they are brawls. In August, a boy died in a swimming pool in Rome after falling down the drain.
