Ovidio Guzman Lopez pleaded not guilty to all charges Monday at an initial hearing in a Chicago courtroom. The son of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman has denied being guilty of drug trafficking, money laundering and use of firearms, according to Reuters. The mouse, as he is also called, was extradited in an express way last Friday, when Mexico was carrying out the celebrations for independence. One of the kingpins of Los Chapitos, the branch of the Sinaloa Cartel run by El Chapo's descendants, was arrested in Jesús María — a small town nestled in the Sinaloa mountains — in the early hours of January 5. The 33-year-old drug trafficker has been accused by U.S. authorities of flooding the streets with fentanyl, for which he faces multiple charges in at least three courts.
