Günther Jauch was astonished when a "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" candidate presented his companion as a partner – because at first he had claimed not to be in a relationship.
Hürth – In "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", only one thing is important: to answer as many questions as possible correctly on the way to a million. However, today's candidate in Günther Jauch's (67) quiz show failed because of a private question – and denied his own partner in front of the whole of television Germany.
Günther Jauch's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" -Candidate forgets his girlfriend
In the special edition of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" about two weeks ago, the candidates not only had the chance to win three million euros, they also entertained presenter Günther Jauch with bizarre jobs or funny ignorance. Even the 67-year-old himself failed because of a spicy clothing question. Now, however, the show is back to normal and candidate Lukas Schnittger (26) is sitting on the quiz chair tonight (September 18, 2023). But the banker was already on the hose before it even really started. He even forgot about his relationship status.
"You are 26 years old, come from Bad Oeynhausen [...], you are single, but in a relationship and a banker," Günther Jauch introduced the contender for the million – whereupon he immediately had to hook in and improve it. "I'm not in a relationship yet, actually," he said. The quizmaster apologized for the alleged misunderstanding, hoped that no "heads would roll" due to the mistake in the editorial office and even made it clear to all viewers: Lukas Schnittger was still available.
So don't have a relationship, but what isn't can still become, as the candidate himself said. "Maybe that will come – after the show," joked the 26-year-old – so he seemed open to flirting offers. But what completely confused Günther Jauch was that Lukas Schnittger introduced his companion just a few seconds later. "This is my friend Nina," he said. However, the young woman in the audience is not only "a" girlfriend, but actually his partner, whom he had initially denied in front of the camera.

"But then you're in a relationship after all": Relationship chaos in Günther Jauch's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" -Studio
Günther Jauch was astonished when his counterpart revealed his lady of the heart in the audience as a matter of course and stated in amazement: "But then you are in a relationship after all." Lukas Schnittger was suddenly no longer quite sure who was completely in the dark in the situation. "Am I wrong now?" he asked himself when he finally saw the light. "Sorry, yes! Yes!" he shot after him. Apparently he had associated the term relationship with married and was also quite excited.
