Francine Jordi and Hans Sigl have proven themselves as a moderation duo and so they will once again lead through "The Big New Year's Eve Show" this year.
Zurich – This year, the turn of the year will once again be celebrated with a cross-channel TV show on Das Erste, SRF 1 and ORF. "The big New Year's Eve show" will again be hosted by the Swiss singer Francine Jordi (46) and "Bergdoktor" star Hans Sigl (54). This was announced by the Swiss broadcaster SRF on Tuesday.
Recording in Germany: These stars host the New Year's Eve show 2023
Francine Jordi hosted the musical New Year's Eve show together with Jörg Pilawa (2021) until 58. After his move to Sat.1, Hans Sigl took over as presenter at the musician's side in 2022. According to the announcement, "The Big New Year's Eve Show" is to be recorded as early as November 9, 2023 in Offenbach, not far from the german-French border. It is not yet known which musicians and other stars will get in the mood for the turn of the year together with the moderation duo in the show. The names will not be revealed until shortly before the recording.
In an interview with spot on news in 2020, former host Jörg Pilawa said why the TV show is being recorded at all: "We did it live for the first three years, but then we decided to record the show in advance because many artists would like to celebrate New Year's Eve with their families. Interestingly, on the evening of the recording, it is still New Year's Eve for the performers and the audience," he explained at the time.
The New Year's Eve show is a co-production
The Eurovision show will be broadcast simultaneously on December 31 from 20:15 p.m. on Das Erste, SRF 1 and ORF 2. It is a joint production of Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR), SRF and Österreichische Rundfunk (ORF) under the editorial leadership of BR, while Kimmig Entertainment GmbH is responsible for the production.

For the moderation of another show, there was recently no good feedback for the "Mountain Doctor" star. Hans Sigl reacted to the "Starnacht" criticism but humorously. Sources used: srf.ch, spot on news
