A sad accident has occurred in Bavaria. A fire engine of the fire brigade hit a cyclist on the way to an exercise – who fell fatally as a result.
Würzburg – No flashing lights, no siren: The fire engine of the fire brigade was on its way to an exercise when a serious accident occurred. On Tuesday evening, September 19, the truck hit a cyclist on the local road between Sonderhofen and Bolzhausen, Würzburg district – she fell and died.

Captured by the fire engine of the fire brigade: cyclist falls hard
According to the police, the accident occurred around 19:25 p.m. According to current knowledge, the fire engine was on its way to an exercise. "It was not an emergency trip and blue lights or sirens were not in use," the police said.
On the district road between Sonderhofen and Bolzhausen, a cyclist came towards them. When the fire engine drove past the 74-year-old woman, she was hit by the truck and fell heavily.

Sad incident in the district of Würzburg: 74-year-old suffers serious injuries in an accident
In the fall, the 74-year-old cyclist suffered such serious injuries that she died at the scene of the accident. According to the news agency News5, the driver of the fire engine suffered a shock and had to be treated on an outpatient basis. At present, it is still completely unclear how the accident could have occurred – the public prosecutor's office has therefore ordered an expert to the scene of the accident. He is supposed to get to the bottom of the cause of the accident. (FHZ)
