On the way to Ukraine, I had the honor to mark in Lublin the efforts of Polish citizens, volunteers, caring hearts," Zelensky announced on his Twitter account.

Poland last week extended its embargo on Ukrainian grain to protect the interests of its farmers, sparking an open crisis with Kiev, a close partner.

In response, Ukraine has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO) against Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, which have also maintained their restrictions on Ukrainian cereals, although lifted by Brussels.

On Tuesday, the Ukrainian president denounced at the UN the fact that "some countries feign solidarity (with Ukraine, editor's note) by indirectly supporting Russia." These remarks provoked the anger of Warsaw, which summoned the ambassador of Ukraine.

Poland then announced that it would no longer deliver new weapons to Kiev, content to ensure previously agreed deliveries and saying it wanted to focus on modernizing its army.

Warsaw is one of Kiev's main allies in its armed conflict against Russia, and Western military aid is mainly channelled through its territory.
