For years, Stefan Mross has been successfully presenting "Immer wieder sonntags" on Das Erste. For this, the pop star relies on an unusual ritual before going to bed.
Baden-Baden – Shortly after the turn of the millennium, "Immer wieder sonntags" was increasingly struggling with declining ratings – until 2005, when Stefan Mross (47) took over and breathed new life into the hit show with a revised concept. But even a seasoned presenter like the 47-year-old folk musician relies on one or the other rather unusual trick in his show preparations.

"Again and again on Sundays" without Stefan Mross – unthinkable for loyal viewers of the entertainment show! And the pop star himself still puts a lot of heart and soul into the show, which has been broadcast since 1995 in the summer months on the first: "I'm not a guy and leave something to chance," reveals Mross in the SWR4 celebrity talk with Jörg Assenheimer (53).
He doesn't think much of statements like "It'll work", the trumpeter continued. "If I know there's only 90 percent power, then I won't do it," explains Stefan Mross and then reveals that he rehearsed for a performance with Andy Borg (62) and his live band, for example, for a whole five hours. "If I can't do it, I'd rather leave it out," says the 47-year-old, perfectionist.

Already in the finale of this year's season, Stefan Mross gave impatient fans a real treat: The folk musician revealed that "Immer wieder sonntags" will also take place in 2024 - even the exact start date has already been set. On May 26, 2024, the first episode of its season anniversary will air.

Because he is "a bit superstitious", he adheres to an unusual ritual before every episode of "Immer wieder sonntags", says Stefan Mross: "I always have my moderation cards under my pillow, kiss them beforehand and then put them underneath. Last year it happened to me that I left them in the car. I went back down in the middle of the night, got her and then put her back under my pillow."

This will certainly not change in the coming year: Another season of "Immer wieder sonntags" for spring 2024 has already been confirmed by ARD.
