(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 24 - The late two-time former presidentGiorgio Napolitano was an "extraordinary pro-European" whobelieved firmly that Italy's strength lies in its positionwithin Europe, European Commissioner for Economic Affairs andformer Italian premier Paolo Gentiloni said on Sunday.
"He was an extraordinary pro-European who always had the ideathat Italy's development and strength would be possible within aEuropean horizon. His was a great lesson," said Gentiloni afterpaying his respects in the chapel of rest at the Senate. (ANSA).
