"You are the supporting pillar of our society. Contribute with your skills, also in voluntary work, be loud." With these words, Mayor Lorenz Angermaier released 19 young people into their future lives at the student ceremony.
Riedersheim – Together with parents and friends, the young people had come to the Wirt z'Riedersheim to receive a certificate and a pig filled with some money from the community from the hands of the head of the town hall and his deputy Thomas Fisch. "While for many you have just started school, you have already successfully completed it and are now going in other directions," says Angermaier.
It is a beautiful custom, also in Bockhorn, to honor achievements. "Now you have the freedom of choice to evolve. Many tasks are waiting to be mastered by you. The development of mankind is advancing rapidly, knowledge is increasing rapidly. That's why it's important to never stop learning."
But the honorees should not forget about the social factor either. Angermaier quoted Albert Einstein: "Don't try to be a particularly successful person, but a particularly valuable one." Finally, the young people were able to celebrate their successes at a buffet in the inn.
