As every year, MDA teams were called on Yom Kippur for a large number of casualties throughout the country, numbering 3,025 people, including 2,069 who were evacuated for further treatment in hospitals throughout the country.
Among those affected, 295 people fainted, dehydrated or felt unwell due to fasting. In the road sector, a 68-year-old man was seriously injured when he slipped off his bicycle on Freud Road in Haifa, and required medical treatment with a head injury. Among the cyclists, roller skates, scooters and skateboards, 306 people were injured, including five who sustained moderate and 301 minor injuries.

In addition, 34 people were injured in road accidents across the country in the past 40 hours, including a 444-year-old cyclist who was moderately injured when hit by a vehicle on Road 33 near Habelt, and <> others who sustained minor injuries.
