While the nibbling of the cafeteria started at the foot of the INSEE tower in Malakoff, the justice has validated the continuation of the demolition work that will soon affect the tripod itself. The administrative court of Cergy-Pontoise has just rejected the summary suspension filed by the city at the end of August requesting the immediate stop of the site. The court argues that the demolition permit was granted and purged of any appeal.
In this injunction, the city's lawyer argued, among other things, that the demolition and building permits of the future project could not be uncorrelated. Especially since in the draft building permit, the environmental authority had expressed serious reservations about the evaluation of the demolition work. The council of the municipality also argued the "massive opposition" of the population and elected officials to the project of the State.
Opponents rely on the top of the state
The social ministries (which include the ministries of labour and health) plan on this site, at the entrance to the city of Malakoff, the reconstruction of a surface building almost similar to the current tripod to accommodate their 1,800 agents.
"An ecological disaster" that opponents have been denouncing for months. "For us, this decision is a disappointment," said Jean-Christophe Hanoteau, president of the In C'Malakoff association. After the mobilization that took place, the ecological arguments put forward, we thought that the administrative court would have the wisdom to suspend the work. For its part, the municipality still intends to study what remains as a remedy before commenting.
For Jean-Christophe Hanoteau, hope now lies at the top of the state: "the decision can only be political. It is clear that the financial stakes are too enormous, it is not the central administration that will decide to stop everything alone. »
