The Autobahn 2 is fully closed between Magdeburg and Hanover after two accidents involving trucks in both directions. Between the exits Eilsleben and Bornstedt, the road to Berlin is closed at least until noon, as the police announced on Tuesday. Further west, the oncoming lane at the Alleringersleben exit is also closed after a rear-end collision.
Magdeburg - At a construction site between Eilsleben and Bornstedt, a truck hit the crash barriers and then tipped to the side. According to the police, the car was fully loaded with one-liter packs of engine oil, which were damaged in the accident. The 53-year-old driver was slightly injured. Initially, nothing was known about the cause of the accident. Traffic will be diverted between the Eilsleben and Bornstedt exits.
Around 8:00 a.m., there was a rear-end collision with a truck on the oncoming lane further west. The police are on site with emergency services and a helicopter. The police were initially unable to provide more detailed information on the circumstances of the accident and those involved. Dpa
