"Again and again on Sundays" will remain with Schlager fans in 2024. One should not be missing: Stefan Mross will celebrate an anniversary in 2024.
Baden-Baden – He's here to stay! Stefan Mross (47) will host "Immer wieder sonntags" for at least another year. The Südwestrundfunk (SWR) continues its long-standing successful cooperation with the Traunsteiner, the broadcaster said at the request of the German Press Agency in Baden-Baden. The new season of the entertainment show is scheduled to start on May 26, 2024.
Stefan Mross extends "Immer wieder sonntags" contract with SWR
However, SWR did not want to disclose how long the new contract with Stefan Mross will run and referred to confidentiality agreements. The pop star was initially unavailable for comment. Next year, the 47-year-old will celebrate an anniversary: He will present "Immer wieder sonntags" for the 20th year in a row.
The fact that Mross was allowed to host the show this summer was still on the brink in the spring. There had even been speculation about an expulsion. The Leipzig District Court had issued a penalty order against the pop star in November 2022 after a physical altercation occurred between Stefan Mross and a young man in a hotel. The SWR then intensively reviewed the cooperation – and now wants to continue it despite all the headlines.

"Immer wieder sonntags" regularly gathers an audience of millions in front of the television sets and is one of the highest-rated programs on Sunday mornings. In 2023, twelve live broadcasts were produced from the open-air stage at Europa-Park Rust near Freiburg, which was built especially for the show. In the show itself, episode after episode, a colorful mix of newcomers and seasoned pop stars, including Beatrice Egli (35), Andy Borg (62) or Vanessa Mai (31), is on stage. The ex-of the presenter, however, is criticized: Claudia Jung (59) found clear words after Anna-Carina Woitschack's (30) allegations against Stefan Mross.
