(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 26 - Ex-president Giorgio Napolitano andex-premier Silvio Berlusconi may now be able to settle theirdifferences in heaven, former cabinet secretary Gianni Lettasaid at the former head of State's funeral on Tuesday.
   "Berlusconi and Napolitano died three months from each other,"said Letta, a former close aide of Berlusconi, who was on theopposite side of the political spectrum to Napolitano.
   "I like to imagine that, when they meet up there, they will beable to say what they didn't say down here and, with all thepolemics abated, clear things up".
   Napolitano was president when Berlusconi was forced to quit aspremier in 2011 at the height of the eurozone debt crisis.
   "When a personality like Giorgio Napolitano passes away, theloss is everyone's," Letta said in the Lower House.
   "It touches and concerns all those who care about theinstitutions, and this House demonstrates it.
   "We all bow in reverence to pay homage to the memory of a manwho loved Italy and we embrace his family.
   "In the face of a mourning that I would define as republican,there are no divisions whatsoever.
   "It overcomes every divergence and wipes out the political andcultural differences that are inevitable when it comes to afigure such as President Napolitano, who, before holding thehighest institutional office with authority and prestige, wasfor many years a leading player in Italian political life".
