In the latest edition of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", Günther Jauch gets a lot of trouble. The name of a candidate is decisive.

Hürth – In "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" there is always great concentration, tricky questions and smoking heads, but the candidates in the RTL show also have plenty of time for cozy small talk with Günther Jauch (67). Cult singer Blümchen on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?": Günther Jauch surprised by candidate name

In the case of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?", some bizarre details have recently come to light in the conversations between Günther Jauch and the participants. On the one hand, there was Kerstin Jacob-Rauch, who suffered from a button phobia, and more recently Ingrid Redlefsen, who used to work in a Beate Uhse factory. In the current episode of the cult show, the presenter sits in front of Jasmin Wagner, whose name promptly tempts him to make an obvious comparison.

"When I heard that Jasmin Wagner was on our show today, I was hoping for Blümchen," says Günther Jauch, visibly irritated, alluding to the cult singer of the 90s. "Do you think Blümchen needs that?" replies Jasmin Wagner, "So not in a negative sense, but in a financial sense." The Hamburg native goes on to explain that although she is now much less likely to be confused with her celebrity namesake, she reveals that she and Blümchen both come from the same area and once even went to the same ENT doctor.

Ordinary citizen instead of celebrity: Günther Jauch confuses "Who wants to be a millionaire?" -Candidate Jasmin Wagner

The fact that, contrary to his expectations, he did not get a star visit on his show seems to have disappointed Günther Jauch mightily, but the TV veteran concludes: "Well, the name Wagner is not so rare and Jasmin is a nice name, so there are certainly 150 nationwide." But who knows – maybe after the episode has been broadcast, Blümchen will feel called upon to venture among the guessing foxes and take part in "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?".
