Charlène of Monaco is known for changing her hairstyle frequently. At the same time, the haircut of Prince Albert's wife often reflects her current mood. Also this time?
Monaco – When Charlène of Monaco (45), then Charlène Wittstock, met Prince Albert (65) for the first time 23 years ago, the then professional swimmer still wore her hair long and blonde. In the course of their relationship, however, Charlène has changed her hairstyle several times, from undercut to stylish bob.

The year 2020 marked Charlène's most drastic hairstyle changes so far. In September, she suddenly showed herself with a bobsleigh and mini bangs, and in December, the Princess of Monaco made headlines with a half-shaved head – shortly before that, rumours circulated, which later turned out to be untrue, that Albert II had fathered a third illegitimate child with a Brazilian woman. The Monegasque head of state has already married Tamara Rotolo (61) daughter Jazmin Grace Grimaldi (31), with ex-affair Nicole Coste (51) Albert recently celebrated the 20th birthday of son Alexandre.
Author Nigel Crawthorne, 72, told the Daily Mail at the time: "When royals change their appearance as dramatically as Princess Charlène of Monaco does, it's a very conscious decision and a sign that they want to tell the world that something has changed dramatically in their lives."
As is well known, this was followed by the Monegasque princess's long, illness-related stay in South Africa and Switzerland, and Charlène has only been attending public appointments again since spring 2022. A platinum blonde pixie was followed by dark highlights and finally a short haircut in a dark brown tone.

But now Charlène of Monaco is returning to her blonde roots. Recent images of Monaco-Matin show the mother of Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, 8, at an event for seniors on the Place d'Armes. In a black, asymmetrical cashmere top from The Row worth 1905 US dollars (around 1790 euros), Charlène made an absolute wow appearance, not least the princess's current hairstyle attracted everyone's attention. Charlène wears her hair blonde again - and thus causes enthusiasm among royal fans.

"Blonde looks much better on her," writes a user on Instagram. "In my opinion, she looks great! The hair color suits her perfectly and makes her look healthy," another user cheers. Probably exactly the message that Charlène of Monaco wants to convey.
After persistent speculation about a marital crisis, Prince Albert initially denied the separation rumors in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, now Charlène of Monaco is also going on the attack and accusing: "People want to see us separate."
