An 81-year-old caused an accident in Grünwald on Monday. He wanted to turn off a forest path and took the right of way from another motorist.
Grünwald - On Monday, September 25, at around 11:30 a.m., the senior citizen from the district of Munich turned left onto the M11 district road with his VW from the forest path "Schilcher räum", police reported. For the 81-year-old, the sign was to give way. At the same time, a 53-year-old from Munich drove a Renault on the M11 district road from Oberhaching in the direction of Grünwald.
Crashed head-on into the driver's side
The senior overlooked the Renault and a collision occurred, with the 53-year-old driving head-on into the driver's side of the 81-year-old's car. The 53-year-old was slightly injured and taken to hospital. The 81-year-old was unharmed. Both vehicles were badly damaged. According to the police, the total damage amounts to around 16,000 euros. The M11 district road had to be closed for about fifteen minutes. Further investigations are being conducted by the Munich traffic police.
