Eight teams, 108 cyclists and a total of 38,807 kilometres of city cycling in 2023: Seefeld's mayor Klaus Kögel, who also likes to sit in the saddle, was worth a time of celebration and thanks.
Seefeld - "We are very happy to honour the participants and we are happy when city cycling can encourage people to cycle," said Kögel. The district office even issued special certificates for two teams from Seefeld.
The best team in the municipality of Seefeld was the 3M team. 51 participants had a total of 19,582 kilometres more on the clock after the end of the city cycling weeks in June, which was 384 kilometres per capita. Second place went to the cycling department of TSV Hechendorf. The 22 cyclists pedaled hard and covered 9830 kilometers. That was 447 kilometers per person. Third place went to the 16 cyclists of the DAV Vierseenland with 3880 kilometers. Incidentally, the most kilometres per capita were covered by the two-person Starensemble team of the Starnberger Merkur with 585 kilometres in Seefeld. In total, that was enough for 5th place.
In the cycling category, TSV Hechendorf received a silver certificate from the district office, which was accepted by TSV department head Josef Frühholz. The company 3M also secured bronze in the company category. Kögel presented the award to 3M employee Bernd Kuppermann.
