After two years of tug-of-war between the collective "Yes to college but not on family gardens" on the one hand, and the town hall of Fleury-Mérogis (Essonne) and the departmental council on the other, the administrative court of Versailles (Yvelines) ruled on September 20. The last occupants of the communal land that hosted the allotments, and on which a future college of 800 places is to be erected, are ordered to leave the premises by October 31. In other words, it is a green light for the construction of the future establishment, the first for the municipality of more than 13,000 inhabitants.
