Yom Kippur riot: Protesters prevent segregated prayers in Tel Aviv and other localities/Walla system!
Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Wednesday criticized the demonstrators against the separation partition at a prayer in Tel Aviv's Dizengoff Square on Yom Kippur, claiming that they resorted to violence and interfered with worshippers. Gantz also criticized the prayer organizers, whom he accused of provocation, but accused the demonstrators against them of violence "in the name of the so-called desire to preserve public space."
"The law has been taken into the hands of both sides and mutual respect has disappeared from one side to the other," Gantz said at a memorial service for Colonel Nabih Mar'i. "Both sides have something to do soul-searching about, and so for all of us as a society."
