A dead woman is found in downtown Iserlohn. The investigators assume a homicide. Just a few hours later, a suspect is arrested by special forces.
Iserlohn - A presumably homeless woman has been killed in Iserlohn in the Sauerland by shots to the head. Two teenagers found the 57-year-old dead woman on Wednesday in the morning hours in the city center, police and prosecutors said. According to the information, the situation suggested a homicide. Just a few hours later, officers arrested a suspect. This was a 29-year-old gun owner.
The victim had been found to have two gunshot wounds in the head, which were the cause of death, said a spokesman for the prosecutor's office in the afternoon. Previously, the "Bild" newspaper had reported on it.
Immediate investigations had led to the residential address of the 29-year-old, it said in the message of the investigating authorities. Because a threat to the emergency services could not be ruled out, special units were deployed. In addition, the surrounding streets had been cordoned off on a large scale before access. SEK officers broke into the apartment of the gun owner. The suspect was injured during his arrest. According to the information, the background to the crime was still unclear. A homicide squad is investigating. Dpa
