Alexander Neumeyer (AfD) does not come from the district of Starnberg, but from Seeshaupt, but he wants to enter the state parliament for the constituency.
District – Alexander Neumeyer is running in the constituency for the AfD – but does not live in the district. The 66-year-old from Seeshaupt is spokesman for the state committee for labour, social affairs and old-age security in his party. He was once deputy district chairman of the Pirate Party in Weilheim and ran for the district council. Neumeyer has been a member of the AfD since 2015.
Mr. Neumeyer, what is your most important topic – and what else do you want to advocate for in the state parliament?
Freedom and self-determination are most important to me. That's my basic motivation. What worries me is that large parts of the middle class are being pushed further and further towards the lower class. A good democracy thrives on a relatively homogeneous distribution of wealth. I stand behind the motto "Performance must be rewarded". The middle class must be left with more money, more net of gross.
What do you want to achieve for the constituency?
The constituency is a very wealthy one. I would represent the whole country and not partial interests of the Starnbergs. I fundamentally reject lobbying for individuals.
Why should they choose you?
Because I am an absolutely authentic person. I speak and act according to my beliefs. That's what I miss in many politicians. I stand up for what I think is just and right, and I don't bend over backwards. That was already the case when I was at school. I was one of the few people who wore short hair. I've always been the way I wanted to be.
Which government constellation would you like to see – and which one do you think is realistic?

My Area
Realistically, the CSU will govern with a more self-confident Hubert Aiwanger, who will demand more ministry. My wish is a coalition of the AfD and the Free Voters. Thematically, we still have the greatest overlap of all.
How do you see the role of your party in the next five years?
We want to be the strongest opposition party and thus be the first after the state government to be able to seize the right to speak. Our goal is to corner the government through inquiries and motions.
