Leaders of the Hollywood Writers Union declared their strike over Tuesday, after nearly five months of a walkout after board members approved a new contract agreement with the studios.
The boards of directors of the East and West branches of the Writers Guild of America voted to accept the agreement and declared that the strike had come to an end and writers could return to work as early as 12:01 a.m.
