Alberto Núñez Feijóo summarized in 40 pages his speech of the investiture debate, conceived as a motion of censure against Pedro Sánchez, acting president. His intervention in Congress reflected the new relationship with Vox, partner of the PP in the governments of five autonomous communities, which from the Xunta referred to as "extreme right" and now, as a "unitary" party.
Last minute of the investiture of Feijóo
The first word: "amnesty"
"Amnesty or any equivalent or analogous formula is an appropriate instrument to overcome the Catalan conflict. Likewise, this conflict will not be resolved definitively if we do not contemplate the right to decide of the people of Catalonia, through a referendum or any equivalent or analogous formula. That would be enough, wouldn't it? Not really. I'm not going to defend that. I have principles, limits and a word."
"I won't be invested, but because I don't want to"
"Let's be clear about Mr. Puigdemont's current offer. He wants a president allied in his endeavor. Personal and partisan. And it does not matter if that president is from the PP or the PSOE. He has offered us both exactly the same thing. The only difference, therefore, can only lie in the integrity of the two possible candidates who can answer to you. That is the case, ladies and gentlemen. I have at my disposal the votes to be president of the Government. But I do not accept to pay the price they ask me to be. Honesty with oneself and responsibility with others are a value, even if there are those who underestimate them. Take note, Mr. Sanchez."

"All this would be done without any deep conviction behind it. Only the state of parliamentary necessity of a single person. And all this would be done without a single counterpart for all Spaniards. It would give up for nothing. Not in favor of any coexistence. False. It would yield despite the secessionist parties proclaiming that they will repeat their challenge."
New treatment for Vox
"With these proposals and with these convictions, I have come this far, with the expectation of 172 supports: Those of a national, reformist, autonomist and pro-European party like mine; those of a more unitary formation like Vox. And also those of a foralist force (UPN) and a nationalist one (Canarian Coalition)."
CGPJ and the 'wasap' of Cosidó
"I do not accept the appointment of ministers and senior officials in the Constitutional Court, which call into question its autonomy. And, of course, I don't want to control justice. That is why I propose: to test the renewal of the General Council of the Judiciary at the same time that a law to reform the election model is registered in this House. In the new law, we must assume the total closure of the revolving doors between the Executive and the Judicial Branches."
Alarm for squatting
"The squatting of buildings does not stop increasing. And you can't be indolent about this."
"I accept with normality the plural society that enriches Spain. In fact, I believe that it will not be easy to find in present or past national politics another president so sensitive to autonomism, to the importance of co-official languages and to territorial particularities."
Sense of state...? Depends on
"I will continue to reach out until someone in your party arrives with enough determination and sense of state to pick it up."
A preview of what's to come
"Gentlemen of the PNV and Junts: You have not voted for me to give you self-determination or amnesty. Have you voted for the economic policy of Podemos to be applied? Really?"
